NANO CBD: What is it? What are the benefits? How does it work?

Intro

For many years, CBD has been well known due to it's beneficial effects on the body and the brain. Research shows that an Adult human body is made up of approximately 60% water (H₂O). Due to poor solubility in the gastrointestinal (GI) system, oral administration of CBD can be challenging with a bioavailability of approximately 6%. Due to a high water percentage, Cannabidiol (CBD) oil can have difficulty absorbing into the bloodstream.

What is Nano CBD?

Nano is short for Nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is the manipulation of matter at atomic or molecular levels. This means nanotechnology creates the absolute smallest level. Nanotechnology involves the understanding and control of matter at the nanometer-scale.

Researchers have shown that nanoemulsion CBD increases the bioavailability of CBD by 400% to 600% compared to regular CBD. Nanoemulsion CBD molecules are alot smaller than other CBD molecules. This means the CBD can enter the bloodstream rapidly. Nano CBD does not dissolve in H₂O. Instead, CBD molecules are much smaller and are absorbed by the body more easily. This is why nanoemulsion CBD has an advantage in the cannabis industry.

How small is a nanometer (nm)? 🤔🤔🤔

A nanometer is one billionth of a meter. To put things into perspective, the diameter of the average human hair is 80, 000 nm. Another example: A sheet of paper is about 100,000 nm thick. Small particle size is a key factor for improving the oral performance of CBD when incorporated into nanoparticles. Nano CBD is emulsified CBD to enhance the absorption of micro CBD particles into the body's cells. Oil and water don’t mix well. Seeing that the adult human body is made up of 60% water, CBD oil has difficulty absorbing into the bloodstream. This can decrease the bioavailability of most CBD products that are available on the market. This is why the extraction process and particle size are essentials to assure an increase in bioavailability.

What exactly is bioavailability? How does bioavailability work?
Bioavailability is defined as “the proportion of a substance which enters the circulation when introduced to the body and so is able to have an active effect.” When cannabidiol (CBD) is taken orally, it must pass through the Digestive System before entering the bloodstream. This is known as the "First Pass Effect." This process decreases how much CBD you actually “consume.” The CBD particle size (non-nano) doesn't mix well with the H₂O in your body. Small particle size means large surface area and saturation solubility, which in turn improves the release rate of the CBD. This provides a high concentration in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Therefore, non-nano CBD has a longer onset time.

What are the benefits of Nanoemulsion CBD (Nano CBD)?

Due to nanoemulsion with encapsulated cannabidiol (CBD), CBD is becoming popular daily. Nanoemulsion CBD products have many benefits. There is an increase in the possibilities of formulation designing and engineering with nanotechnology. Currently, nanotechnology is the best way of creating small CBD particles. Here are some of the benefits:

Rapid Action - Nanoemulsion CBD takes effect much faster than regular particle sized CBD. Due to the increased bioavailability of Nano CBD, it works more rapidly than regular particle size CBD products.

Water-Soluble - Nanoemulsion CBD is easily dissolved in water, which makes it easier for your body to absorb. To overcome obstacles, cannabinoids can be incorporated into oil-in-water nanoemulsions: a process known to enhance the delivery of lipophilic bio-actives by making them behave like water-soluble (hydrophilic) compounds.

More Bioavailable - A higher percentage of nanoemulsion CBD is absorbed into your bloodstream than regular CBD. The nanoemulsion process utilized makes our nanoemulsion CBD products more bioavailable than oil-based products. This means you can take less CBD to achieve the same results. During consumption, more CBD is distributed into your system. This is plus for millions of buying customers.
